Gaming: How Does It Affect Our Lives?

Gaming is great. You get to play as another person, in another world, doing different, awesome, unique, funny, and horrific things! But how does playing as this awesome person affect our real lives? I think that gaming can be good for you sometimes, while at other times it can be bad. What do you think? Comment below with your answer!

Gaming can teach you many things-Like how to effectively slit a throat, how many bullets it takes to kill a human, what we should/shouldn't do in a zombie apocalypse-it can also take up free time, take your mind off of things, show off to your friends, and more. People love getting achievements, finding out easter eggs, killing monsters, getting the highest rank, beating levels, etc etc. Playing video games has become a part of many peoples lives. This can affect you in a good way, making you happy, teaching you many things, helping you be patient, and teaching you the value of things. It can also interfere with your life, what you think is right and wrong, and taking up your time in which you could be using to go outside, spending time with your family, and hanging out with friends.

When gaming interferes with your life it can be bad. It will make you a completely different person. You might stay in on the computer all day long, not wanting to go outside. You might be pissy all day and get in trouble for it. You also might spend all your money on Video Games and not have money for other things. If you get lazy, you will probably have weight problems, which really suck (I would know, I've been there). If you have children, a wife/husband, or any family that you have to take care of, gaming sometimes gets in the way of your family, which can prove to be a bother.

Overall, gaming can prove to be an interference if you spend too much time doing it. But if you limit yourself with gaming, watch your health, and eat healthy, you should be fine. Thanks for reading and as always, game on!

  1. Video games definitely DO NOT tell you how many bullets it takes to kill a human. You know how many it really takes? 1.
