Humble Indie Bundle 6 Review

So, Recently the Humble Indie Bundle 6 came out, and it Includes Vessel, Torchlight, Rochard, S.P.A.Z., and Shatter. The Humble Indie Bundle is a pay-what-you-want bundle, and it is for charity, so you can feel good about yourself while buying too! You can also get Dustforce if you pay more than the average! Today I will be reviewing all of these games, but keep in mind some of these games I have only played about 30 minutes of, so some may not be very descriptive, but I will try my best, so read on!

First off I will review Vessel. Vessel is a puzzle game, you could compare it to Limbo, but there are a lot of differences. You play as what I see as a mechanic or an inventor, who has created these liquid/gel things that move around and hit switches and such. You need these liquid/gel things in order to solve the puzzles. The puzzles are fun, complex, and challenging all at the same time. The physics of this game are what I like the most. You can go under a flowing stream of gel and it will move you up, left, down, or right, depending on which way the gel is flowing. Vessel is a fun, simple (and complex at the same time), and challenging game. If you enjoyed Limbo or puzzle games in general, I think you should pick up the bundle and play.

Next up is Torchlight, I wrote a huge review about this game I love it so much. But instead of boring you with a long, detailed review, I will do a quick and clean version. Torchlight is an action RPG in which you go around killing monsters and getting loot. In Torchlight you play as one of three characters, The Destroyer, which is your typical sword-carrying-brute, The Alchemist, which is a mage-type person that is short to medium range and can summon minions to help at your side, and The Vanquisher, who is your long-ranged-badass-sexy-girl-type character, she shoots long ranged weapons such as bows, guns and more! There are various enemies, big ass, huge spiders, and tons of weapons. If you liked the Diablo series, then play this one too, they're both very similar.

Up next we have Rochard (pronounced Roshard, not Rockhard). Rochard is another puzzle game, but instead of using liquid/gel things, you use a lifting gun (sort of like the physics gun in Garry's Mod), physics, gravity, and boxes! You are set as John Rochard, a space miner-type person, who is on a mission to get minerals for his company, but doesn't seem to be doing very successful in doing it. The puzzles are a little straight-forward, but still fun to solve. If you like puzzle games, give this one a try!

Our next game is Space Pirates And Zombies (S.P.A.Z.). I didn't really like this game, so there isn't that much to say about it. Basically you are on a ship in a galaxy, where there are pirates, zombies, and bounty hunters. You can kill them, go around the galaxy, and more. Overall it isn't generally enjoyable, but still worth a try if you like the type of game.

I have not played Shatter yet, I will soon, and as soon as I do I will edit this story and write the review.

Last up is Dustforce. This is a side-scrolling action game, where you play as a janitor, and you sweep the level clean of leaves, dust, and dirt in general. There are certain dust blocks which you can hit with your quick attack, and others you can only use your heavy attack on. It has simple controls, just run and jump and attack action. If you like side-scrollers or want to give them a try, this game is very fun and addictive, and sweeping the leaves gives you a strange sense of satisfaction. Dustforce is worth paying more than the average, and it is a very good time waster.

In the end, this has to be one of my favourite Humble Indie Bundles yet. It is definitely worth buying, especially since it's pay-what-you-want, and it is absolutely worth paying over the average. Thank you all for reading, you can check out the Humble Indie Bundle 6 here, and as always, game on!
